Dressing for Fall in the Heat

When living in a desert state dressing for cooler seasons like fall and winter can prove challenging; having little experience of weather changes from triple digit heat, makes it hard to give your favorite sweaters and knee high boots the love they deserve.
One of the best parts about fall fashion is the versatility it can bring to your wardrobe. Layers and patterns are your best friend this time of year, allowing you to personalize your outfits to your personal style (and inclement weather).
We've put together a few looks to help you kickstart your autumnal shopping spree!
Above Includes: Red Cardigan, Corset Style Top, Charm Necklace, “I Heart Me” Necklace, Red Headband, Gold Gem Ring, Low Waist Jean Shorts, Boots
Swapping out a pair of jeans for shorts can help you beat the heat while still maintaining the grounding denim provides to an outfit. Pairing a cardigan over top a tank or short sleeve is one of the best ways to keep cool in this transitional season.

Red is always in. This summer we saw a lot of ballet flats on the streets, finding them in a bold color way, like the ones pictured, is a great way to incorporate current trends and approaching seasons into your closet. Whether it’s summer or fall, the bold burgundys and moody maroons creep their way into our wardrobe without us even noticing (better to get ahead).

Similarly to summer trends, making accessories the main focus of an outfit can create a more interesting look for a basic piece like the black dress above. Your summer staples can still be worn in the fall with a few minor tweaks and additions along the way. We have all seen the studded belts and bags soar to the top of the trend list in 2024, buying quality accessories with these embellishments can help you stretch the wear further than the fleeting trend.
